Baaaaash of the Year Takes Place Saturday

It’s the party of the year—and you’re invited! Historic Oak View County Park will celebrate the birthdays of its five Nubian goats on Saturday, May 18.

Join us at the Backyard Birthday Bash for games, crafts and—of course—cake and ice cream as we serenade Walt, Elliot, Leroy, Felix and Levi. The party takes place from 10 a.m.–noon at the park, which is located at 4028 Carya Drive in Raleigh.

“Kids of all ages love to visit Oak View’s goats every day, and this is a fun opportunity to recognize their importance to the park,” said Chris Snow, director of Wake County Parks, Recreation and Open Space.

In addition to music, lawn games, children's activities and crafts, party-goers will be able to sign a huge paper mural birthday card and feed carrots to the guests of honor. No reservations are required, and please leave the gifts at home. In fact, visitors will receive a special party favor just for coming.
