Wake Thanks Red Hat for Job Creation, Retention
bryanredhat_WEB062413.jpgCreating and keeping jobs has been one of the Wake County Board of Commissioners’ priority goals for several years, and Chairman Joe Bryan thanked the company for staying in Wake County at their ribbon-cutting ceremony in downtown Raleigh on Monday, June 24, 2013.

Bryan joined N.C. Governor Pat McCrory and Raleigh Mayor Pro-Tem Eugene Weeks to celebrate Red Hat’s more than 900 jobs that are located in Raleigh, plus the future jobs they plan on adding in Wake County. Many of these positions pay above-average salaries.

In addition to thanking Red Hat for deciding to stay in Wake (after looking in other locations), Chairman Bryan took the opportunity to highlight other recent business growth in Wake County such as Citrix, Deutsche Bank and MetLife.
