NEWS: Job Seekers Invited to 2009 JobLink Career Fair on March 11

Individuals seeking employment will have the opportunity to meet with potential employers at the 2009 Spring Capital Area Joblink Career Expo at the Mckimmon Conference and Training Center, 1101 Gorman St., Raleigh on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is open to the public.

Attendees are expected to come professionally dressed and to bring several copies of their current resumes for possible on-site interviews.

Participants will have opportunities to meet with recruiters from about 50 Triangle-area businesses that are hiring, learn about the available community resources and assistance and participate in the following workshops:

· "Beyond the Criminal Record" and "Re-Entry" – provide practical strategies for ex-offenders looking for
   employment
· "Checklist for Job Search" – provides tips and tools for the more mature job seeker
· "Finding Your Joy" – provides solutions and strategies for living a less stressful life
· "The Big Picture of Networking" – provides suggestions on building relationships for employment
   success
· "Make Your Resume Talk" – provides suggestions on how to create a winning resume

The JobLink Mobile Unit will also be on hand to review attendees’ resumes on a first-come, first serve basis.
