NEWS: Early Voting Ends Saturday, October 31, 2009

Early voting ends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009, for the municipal elections being held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. For locations and times of early voting sites, visit the Wake County Board of Elections Web site.
Anyone who did not register to vote or update their voter registration information prior to the October 9, 2009, deadline, may do so while voting early at any of the early voting sites. All voted absentee ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009, in the Wake County Board of Elections office, 337 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh.
To be eligible to vote in the November 3, 2009, municipal elections, citizens must be a registered voter residing within the corporate limits of the municipality, within the corporate limits of the town of Cary District A or within the Wake County Board of Education District 2.
Voters in four precincts will be transferred to an adjacent precinct for the November 3, 2009, election:
- Voters in Precinct 04-13 will be transferred to Precinct 20-03
Eva H. Perry Regional Library, 2100 Shepherds Vineyard Drive, Apex
- Voters in Precinct 05-05 will be transferred to Precinct 05-04
Good Hope Baptist Church of Carpenter, 6636 Good Hope Church Road, Cary
- Voters in Precinct 09-03 will be transferred to Precinct 09-02
Zebulon Rotary-Woman’s Club, 405 W. Sycamore St., Zebulon
- Voters in Precinct 10-04 will be transferred to Precinct 10-02
Wendell GT Magnet Elementary School, 3355 Wendell Blvd., Wendell

Unofficial election results will be posted to the Wake County Board of Elections Web site when the polls close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
