Public Invited to Learn About Wake EMS

The public is invited to join Wake County Commissioners and learn about the Wake County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system by attending EMS Day at Kroger on Saturday, May 10, 2008, from noon to 4 p.m., at the Kroger store located at 1610 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Raleigh.

EMS Day at Kroger is free. This is the first of several events planned by Wake EMS in the month of May, recognizing the week of May 18-24 as National EMS Week.

Attendees will be able to meet paramedics and understand the capabilities of modern EMS care. Children can meet mascots "Pete the Paramedic Panda" and "Andy the Ambulance." Kroger Pharmacy will provide free health screenings.
