NEWS: Board of Elections: Notice of Hearing

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 11B – Challenge to a Candidacy – the Wake County Board of Elections will conduct a hearing on the challenge of Jerome Goldberg’s residency listed on the Notice of Candidacy for Raleigh City Council District D.

The hearing will be held:

Wednesday, August 12, 2009
11:00 a.m.
Wake County Office Building
Ground Floor Conference Room, room G31
337 S. Salisbury Street
Raleigh, North Carolina 27601

The Board will hear testimony under oath and receive such other evidence proffered by the challenger, candidate and others.

Pursuant to NCGS 163-127.5, the burden of proof shall be upon the candidate, who must show by a preponderance of the evidence of the record as a whole that he is qualified to be a candidate for the office of Raleigh City Council District D.
