4/18/2008

The Citizens Facilities Advisory Committee (CFAC) will meet on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m, in the ground floor conference center of the Wake County Public Safety Center, 330 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh. The meeting agenda includes a discussion of the Justice Facilities Master Plan, a tour of the Wake County Courthouse and a presentation on the Wake County Justice Center project.

The CFAC was established by Wake County Commissioners and the Wake County Board of Education in 2006 to independently evaluate Wake County capital improvement programs and Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) design criteria, construction management and delivery methods. The committee is composed of business and community leaders with expertise in corporate leadership, architecture and engineering, financial management and public administration.

The 13-member committee began its work by evaluating WCPSS construction programs. In September 2007, the CFAC presented the School Facilities Report outlining recommendations for improving the WCPPS building program. This meeting continues the committee’s second phase of work which includes reviewing the other components of Wake County’s building program.
