NEWS: Wake EOC Activates at Level One in Preparation for Severe Winter Weather

The Wake County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activated at 9:30 a.m. TODAY, Monday, January 19, 2009, in preparation for an anticipated winter storm. The EOC is monitoring the ongoing situation and is prepared to coordinate emergency response efforts if needed.

At this time, the Wake County EOC will remain at level one, a stand-by operational state. This means that all equipment and personnel are prepared to respond, and the EOC will not be staffed on a continual basis.
