FEATURE: Career Summit to Offer Expert Advice, Training

Wake County residents interested in redeveloping their careers are invited to the 2009 Wake County Career Summit on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Wake Technical Community College Student Services Conference Center, 9101 Fayetteville Road, 401 South, Raleigh. This free event will offer education, re-training, career transition and development opportunities for citizens at all stages of their lives and careers.
Attendees should come prepared for workshops and to meet professionals who will offer advice on writing a winning resume, establishing new goals, selling oneself to prospective employers, seizing new career opportunities, filing unemployment claims and many other career topics. The JobLink Mobile Unit will also be on site to help with resume assistance.
The summit is sponsored by Capital Area Workforce Development and the Capital Area JobLink partners: Wake County, Wake Technical Community College, and N.C. Employment Security Commission-Raleigh and Cary offices.
