Now through Wednesday, April 15, 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. – AARP Tax Assistance
Volunteers from the American Association of Retired Persons will help citizens fill out tax forms on Mondays and Wednesdays, in the second floor meeting rooms at the Cameron Village Regional Library. The assistance is free. Citizens will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis; however priority will be given to those ages 50 and up. For more information, call 856-6703. Saturday, March 7, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Composting Workshop
Composting expert Bianca Howard will discuss how composting yard waste and food scraps improves the health of soil and extends the life of landfills. Whether new to composting or an experienced "microbe farmer," this hands-on presentation will give tips and tricks to try at home. The program is free and will take place in meeting room 202-A at the Cameron Village Regional Library. For more information, call 856-6703. Wednesday, March 11, 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. – "Eyes on the Prize"
Cameron Village Regional Library will showcase the award-winning documentary, "Eyes on the Prize." The film tells the definitive story of the civil rights era from the point of view of ordinary men and women whose extraordinary actions launched a movement that changed the fabric of American life. Through contemporary interviews and historical footage, the documentary traces the events of the civil rights movement. Check with the library for additional showings. Thursday, March 12, 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. – Help for Teens
Students are invited to take part in Teen Tech Week at Duraleigh Road Library. Students should bring their library card and homework covering various topics, and will be able to get help to improve grades. Sign-up is required for the workshop. Tuesday, March 17, 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. – Pizza and Pages
Students ages 11-18 are invited to the Pizza and Pages Club at the East Regional Library. This month’s book is "The Dangerous Days of Daniel X." Attendees can get a copy of the book at the youth services desk. Students will have the chance to talk about books and other topics over pizza. The club meets once per month. Sunday, March 22, 2:00-3:00 p.m. – Term Paper Boot Camp
