FEATURE: Well-Known Storyteller to Perform at Wake County Pubilc Libraries in Celebration of Black History Month

2/13/2009

Wake County Public Libraries will celebrate Black History Month Saturday, February 14, through Saturday, February 28, 2009, with professional storyteller Barbara Lott, who specializes in African-American and southern folklore. Lott uses both language and ethnically inspired dress to help draw her audiences into her tales. She also finds inspiration in popular picture book stories, bringing the familiar themes to life with humor and the skills learned from her many years of experience. All of the performances are free and open to all ages. These performances have been made possible by the Friends of Wake County Public Library. Each performance will last approximately 1 hour.
