Thursday, April 3, 7 p.m. – Watercolors
Learn the basic techniques of watercolor by attending a workshop at the North Regional Library. For more information and to register for the class, call 870-4000. North Regional Library is located at 7009 Harps Mill Road in Raleigh.

Saturday, April 5, 2-4 p.m. – Wake Reads Together Finale
Celebrate the end of another successful Wake Reads Together program by attending a movie night at Southeast Regional Library. Enjoy the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" while munching on chocolate and popcorn. Registration is required. For information, call 662-2263. Saturday, April 7, 2-3:45 p.m. – HomeSchoolers Book Club
Homeschool students ages 7 to 10 are invited to join a book club designed specifically for them at Southeast Regional Library. The group meets every other Monday through April 21. Participants will vote on the club’s genre and subject themes for all winter/spring sessions at the first meeting. For more information, call Susan Adams at 662-2263. Tuesday, April 8, 6:30-7:30 p.m. – Tell Me A Story
This Parenting Counts Workshop teaches parents and caregivers of children 0 to 5 years old about enhancing emergent and early literacy through storytelling and sharing family stories. Childcare is available for ages 3-8. Preregistration for the workshop and childcare are required. This workshop is offered through a partnership between the East Regional Library and the Eastern Regional Ready to Learn Center [DCD Daycare credit (1.0) available]. Wednesday, April 16, 7 p.m. – Become Water Wise
Learn how to tend to your garden while saving water at Cameron Village Regional Library’s Water Wise Gardening workshop. Carl Matyac of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Services will lead the discussion and offer suggestions for common plant problems. For more information, contact Clare Bass at 856-6701. Saturday, April 19, 10:30 a.m. – National Library Week: Where the Wild Things Are!
Join young friends and the staff of East Regional Library for a monstrous storytime with a special guest – WILD THING from Maurice Sendak’s famous book. This event is for all ages. Don’t forget your camera. East Regional Library is located at 946 Steeple Square Court in Knightdale.

Wednesday, April 23, 6:30-8 p.m. – Vermicomposting
Dig in to vermicomposting, composting with worms, by taking part in a class at the Cameron Village Regional Library. The program, presented by Bianca Howard, City of Raleigh Solid Waste Services Division, will offer tips for the novice and serious gardener alike. No equipment is needed.
