FEATURE: Free Tdap Clinics for Rising Sixth-Graders

9/3/2009

Wake County Human Services will hold free Tdap clinics in County regional centers in September to allow rising sixth-grade students to obtain their updated immunization. The Tdap booster provides protection against whooping cough, tetanus and diphtheria, and is required by law for all students entering the sixth-grade if five or more years have passed since their last tetanus shot.

September clinics will be held from 3-5 p.m. at the following locations:

There will be no charge for the vaccine and clinics will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents are asked to bring their child’s immunization record at the time of visit.
