NEWS: Wake County Government Closings and Delays

The following Wake County offices/facilities will open on a delayed schedule TODAY, Monday, March 2, 2009 due to ice on the roadways. Citizens are advised to stay off the roads and call before visiting any County agency, even if they have an appointment scheduled.

· Register of Deeds Open at 10:30 a.m.
· Animal Care, Control and Adoption Center Open at 12 p.m.

Solid Waste Facilities
· South Wake Landfill Open at 12 p.m.
· East Wake Transfer Station Open at 12 p.m.
· Convenience Centers (11 locations) Open at 12 p.m.
· North Wake Multi-Material Recycling Facility Open at 12 p.m.
· South Wake Multi-Material Recycling Facility Open at 12 p.m.
