NEWS: Wake Human Services Offers Free Flu Shots at Public Health Center Beginning Jan. 6; Pneumonia Shots Available for $60

Wake County Human Services will offer free flu shots at the Public Health Center’s Clinic E, 10 Sunnybrook Road, Raleigh, each Tuesday and Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., beginning Tuesday, January 6, 2009. No appointment is needed.

Pneumonia shots will also be offered. The cost for the pneumonia shot is $60. Medicare Part B covers the cost of pneumonia shots, and Human Services will file Medicare Part B for those with traditional Medicare cards. Those with Medicare HMO’s or other insurance should make arrangements to pay at the time of service. Cash and checks will be accepted.
