FEATURE: Space Available for 4-H Summer Sleep-Away Camp

Space is still available for Wake County’s annual 4-H Youth Development Sleep-Away Summer Camp at the Betsy-Jeff Penn Educational Center, 804 Cedar Lane, Reidsville, from Sunday, June 21, to Friday, June 26, 2009.

The cost of the camp, which is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8 and 12, is $355 and includes the following:

· transportation to and from camp
· all meals
· lodging
· a camp T-shirt
· $15 camp store credit

The last day to enroll in the camp is Monday, May 18, 2009. Over 165 campers are expected to attend. A three-part payment arrangement is available.

Activities include horseback riding, canoeing, arts and crafts, a high ropes course and swimming. Participants will enhance their interpersonal skills, ecological knowledge and community awareness, while under continuous supervision of highly trained staff.
