The Waverly F. Akins Building is the main office building for Wake County Government. It is located in downtown Raleigh between Salisbury and Fayetteville streets at the corner of Davie Street. Visitors can enter from the Salisbury or Fayetteville streets. Please be prepared to show picture identification.

Visitor Parking
The new Wake County parking deck will open Monday, February 16, 2009. The Garland H. Jones deck will officially close on Friday, February 13.
Location:The new Wake County parking deck is located at
216 W. Cabarrus Street, on the corners of Davie, McDowell & Cabarrus streets. The nine-level deck (P1 through P9) has two entrances and three exits. Vehicular entrances are located on Cabarrus and Davie streets.
Hours:
Open 24 hours/7 days a week. Attendant on duty from 6:30 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Payment options:
- Pay the attendant: Cash, debit & credit cards are accepted; checks are not accepted.
- Pay-on-Foot: To ease the line when exiting the deck, the visiting public will be reminded to keep their parking ticket and pay at one of our pay-on-foot systems. For convenience, these machines are located in both McDowell Street lobbies. Cash, debit & credit cards are accepted.
- Pay in Lane: Credit & Debit cards are accepted at these units located at all exits. Cash is not accepted at these locations.
