Who's Who at the Wake County LME
Provider and Community Development Team (PCDT)
The Provider and Community Development Team serves as consultants to providers and LME staff. They manage the purchase of service budget(s), community collaboration projects, system planning and conceptualization, and provider recruitment and endorsement. They also support CPAC and CFAC committees. The PCDT consists of a team of professionals with varying areas of expertise.
Care Coordination Team
Assists consumers (children and adults) transitioning from hospitals and residential settings to outpatient providers. They provide short-term, crisis and interim supportive case management, assertive outreach, and engagement for high-risk populations.
Quality Management Team
The Quality Management Team monitors services of licensed and non-licensed providers, receives and reviews incident reports, provides endorsement reviews, assists in complaint mediation, and offers provider training and technical assistance.
Screening, Triage and Referral
This team provides phone screening and referral, walk-in screening, triage and referral, full assessments (including scheduled assessments), crisis intervention treatment services, and eligibility determination.
Utilization Management
Utilization Management is responsible for utilization review, including the authorization and reauthorization of IPRS-funded MH/SA services. They provide consultation with service providers and consumer advocates regarding level-of-care criteria.
Provider Relations/Contracts Management assists providers with the contract process.
Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) is a pre-booking, jail diversion program educating law enforcement officers in techniques to divert persons with mental illness from incarceration for misdemeanor charges.
