West Regional Teen 2 Teen Advisory Board
Do you need service or volunteer hours?
Do you want to do something fun for these hours?
We have the solution!

What is Teen 2 Teen?
It’s a forum for teens to:
- Meet other teens who like the library and/or reading.
- Have a voice planning activities for teens at the library.
- Suggest new teen books.
- Develop leadership skills.
To Qualify for Teen 2 Teen You Need to Be:
- Between ages 13 - 18 at time of application.
- Willing to commit to 1-2 hours a month for a meeting or activity.
- Willing to serve for a semester.
What You Will Do as a Teen 2 Teen Advisory Board Member:
- Attend meetings, usually one meeting every 4-6 weeks. You get service credit for attending the meetings.
- Brainstorm and plan teen programs, and help advertise them.
- Promote the library and its services and activities in the school and community – i.e., hand out flyers at school etc…
- Attend some library activities (i.e., Yoga, Death by Chocolate Festival). You can get service credit for attending/helping with these events.
- Suggest books for teens.
- Help with decoration of Teen Central – the teen area of the library.
Meetings
We will meet as a group approximately once every 4-6 weeks, probably on a Saturday, but this can be determined by the group. During the meetings we discuss and plan upcoming activities, talk about good books and websites, and brainstorm ways the library can help teens. These are considered service hours by the library, but check with your club advisor to make sure you’ll receive credit for this.
What events will Teen 2 Teen help plan in the upcoming year?
- After Hours at the Library
- Movie Night
- Summer reading program for teens, with a "CSI"/mystery-crime theme
