Lewis P. Watson Photographic Collection

Lewis P. WatsonLewis P. Watson worked for the North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service with N.C. State University and later owned his own studio on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Mr. Watson focused on agricultural subjects, construction and architectural firms and a limited amount of portrait photography. When Mr. Watson died in 1996, his family presented the entire collection of some 10,000 negatives and hundreds of prints to Wake County's Olivia Raney Local History Library. We have published many of the photographs in this collection.
