1940 Census Release Date Announced!
The 1940 U.S. Federal Census was conducted based on a census date of April 1, 1940. Given the seventy-two year privacy restriction, the Census will be released on April 2, 2012.The census counted a total of nearly 132.2 million people living in 48 states.
