Mollie Huston Lee Collection

Mollie Huston Lee was the first African-American librarian in Wake County. Mrs. Lee founded Raleigh's Richard B. Harrison Library. During her tenure, Mrs. Lee initiated and maintained a collection chronicling the African-American experience both locally and nationally. The collection stands at more than 5,000 volumes and includes pamphlets, photographs and nonfiction materials for adults and juveniles.
