About Us
The Eva Perry Mock Printz Book Club is a group of teens who come together at Wake County's Eva Perry Regional Library. We discuss books published in the current year that may be considered examples of literary excellence for readers ages 12-18, and are possible nominees for the ALA's Printz Award for young adult literature.
This book club was formed in the year 2000 and continues to grow each year, with young people who love to read and discuss the quality of books written for teens.
Our goal is to select the the best book written for teens each year. We choose our own nominees for winner as well as honor books. Our choices will be decided just before the official Printz Award committee from ALA announces its choice in January. All forms of writing are eligible – fiction, nonfiction, poetry, art, and any combination of these forms.
The Mock Printz Award Club has been noted nationally in VOYA Magazine.
