Got books?  We gladly accept donations!

Birthday Donations
Celebrate the birthday of a child or a friend with a birthday donation. With your financial donation, the library will purchase a book of special interest to the honoree and insert a bookplate in the volume denoting the gift. Memorial Donations
One of the most thoughtful ways to remember a friend or loved one is by making a memorial donation to your public library. A financial donation to the library allows us to purchase a book that is a lasting tribute and will benefit readers in the community for many years. Acknowledgement of this contribution will be made by mail to anyone you designate and a bookplate denoting the memorial gift will be inserted in the volume. Gift Books
Wake County Public Libraries maintains a “wish list” of high demand or perennial favorite titles. You may support this effort through a financial donation. For more information, call the adult materials selector at 919-250-1210 or the children’s materials selector at 919-250-1230. Your contribution will meet an immediate need for avid readers.

Used Books
The library accepts gifts of gently used books in good condition. The books then may be added to the collection or sold in the used booksale to generate revenue for the library. Either way, your donation benefits the library system and is greatly appreciated. Deliver your books to your closest Wake County Library location during operating hours and receive a donation letter for your taxes. Most of our library facilities have very little storage space, so deliveries of multiple boxes (4–5 or more) should be delivered to the Library Administration Building (4020 Carya Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27610) by making advance arrangements with staff at 919-250-3971. The Library Administration Building will accept donations Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
