Wake County Public Libraries' Annual Book Sale will take place April 30-May 3, 2020.
In 2019, over 12,000 visitors attended the sale, with upwards of 202,000 books finding new homes. By the end of the four day event, the Book Sale had completely sold out of 126 tables of Children's books, 27 tables of Young Adult books, 38 tables of Crafts and Cooking books, and 21 tables of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Additionally, over 500 teachers received books to support their WCPSS classrooms. 

The Book Sale takes place each year in the Spring at the Expo Center at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. The Expo Center is near the Blue Ridge Rd. entrance and there is ample free parking throughout the fairgrounds.

All the funds generated from the Book Sale return to Wake County's General Fund, which funds those services offered in Wake County agencies, schools and public libraries.
