Volunteer at the Booksale

Wake County Public School Teachers

Wake County Elementary Schools are invited to send representatives to a pre-sale event, to select Children’s books from the Booksale inventory for use in your schools. Each representative may select 100 children’s books (two boxes).
This special event for WCPSS elementary school teachers will be held on Thursday, December 10th, from 7am to 1pm. There is no limit on the number of teachers from each school who may come; but each teacher must have a current WCPSS Badge to enter the pre-sale at that time.

Wake County Agencies

Wake County Agencies are invited to send representatives to select books from the Booksale inventory for use in your agency. Each representative must have a current Wake County ID Badge to enter the sale; and each may select 100 books (two boxes).
This can be done at any time during the public sale. Upon arriving at the Jim Graham Building, each representative from your agency should report to the “Volunteer Check-in” table, which is immediately to the left as you enter the Booksale. There will be a Library staff member there to check photo IDs and give instructions.  Please remember that according to North Carolina State Law, the books selected are only to be used at your agency and are not for personal use.

See what goes into getting all the books ready in this time lapse of last year's setup.
