Salary Range: $40,700-67,800 Work Schedule/Location: Full-time day/evening/night/Public Safety Center (330 S. Salisbury Street, Raleigh, NC), Hammond Road Annex Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Eligibility for licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse as issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing required. A credit history and criminal record check will be conducted. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a correctional facility; one year of nursing experience, including the ability to conduct independent triage. Duties: Provide inmates with routine and emergency health care in the Medical Division of the Detention Center of the Public Safety Center and the Wake County Detention Annex; conduct health histories of newly-admitted inmates; make referrals of inmates to the staff physician, physician assistant, dentist or mental health professional; ensure all medication is administered in accordance with standard operating procedures and as ordered by authorizing authority.Notes: Possession of a current license to work as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina is required.
