 Job # 0052/2009-Access Specialist Salary Range: $36,550 to $60,950 Expected Hiring Range: $36,550 to $48,750 Work Schedule/Location: 8-10 hour shifts to cover 8:00a.m-10:00p.m. 7 days per week. Work hours will require a mix of day/evening/weekend and occasional holiday work/Human Services Center (3010 Falstaff Road, Raleigh, NC) Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Social Work and one year of experience in social work or counseling; or equivalent. Special Requirements: A criminal record check will be conducted. Preferred Qualifications: Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse Qualified Professional; screening and/or clinical triaging experience desired; HS Master's degree and North Carolina licensure (LCSW, LPC, LCAS, LMFT, MSN, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Psychological Associate); fluent English is a requirement and Spanish language skills are preferred.. Duties: Provide Local Management Entity (LME) screening, triage, and referral (STR) for any person seeking access to MH/DD/SA services in a manner compliant with the NC DHHS-Wake LME performance contract standards; refer to LME's provider network taking consumer choice into account; determine immediacy of need and eligibility for services; provide initial authorizations for services to providers including urgent authorizations for consumers in need of hospitalization and/or crisis services; provide follow-up customer service to be sure consumer is effectively linked to provider of choice; develop and maintain positive working relationships with Crisis Services providers, hospital ED's, private and state psychiatric hospitals, and the LME provider network; keep stakeholders apprised of availability and capacity of each referral resource. Special Requirements: A valid driver's license and a "safe" driving record required. A criminal record check will be conducted. Preferred Qualifications: Child Welfare experience preferred; fluent English is a requirement and Spanish language skills are preferred. Duties: Provide Child Protective Services (CPS) In-Home services as part of a blended Child Welfare team serving a region of Wake County; develop service plans collaboratively with families and provide or arrange services to support families and protect children; complete assessments of safety and risk; when required by safety concerns, take children into foster care and provide reports and testimony to the court.
