How to Apply for Medicaid

The easiest and most convenient way to check to see if you qualify and apply for Medicaid is online. You may also apply with a paper application or by phone.

Starting Dec. 1, 2023, more people ages 19 through 64 will be covered, even if you didn't qualify for coverage before. Medicaid pays for doctor visits, yearly check-ups, emergency care, dental care, mental health and more – at little or no cost to you.
