How to Apply for Medicaid

For those individuals who are currently uninsured, have never received Medicaid in NC, and are seeking coverage for you and your family, Medicaid coverage is typically limited to low-income children, their parents, pregnant women, and people with disabilities.
In NC, Medicaid is a health insurance program for low-income individuals and families who cannot afford health care costs.
You may also qualify for insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
You can apply for Medicaid for you and your family with any of the following ways:
Applying for Medicaid online is the most convenient and efficient way to apply. You can apply via the NC ePASS Online Application Site from any device that has is connected to the Internet.
ePASS is an easy-to-use, online website will allow you to apply for Medicaid and Food Assistance.
If you don't have access to a computer, please visit one of our Self-Service Centers where computers are available for public use. Some centers even have staff available to assist you with the online process. |
