Wake County's HIV/STD Community Program offers a comprehensive continuum of care including prevention education, HIV/STD counseling and testing and treatment, Hepatitis C care and assistance, and supportive services for people with HIV/AIDS.

HIV/STD Education and Outreach

Our health education and outreach team works with individuals, groups, partner agencies and communities throughout Wake County to provide HIV/STD prevention education and connect individuals with testing and treatment services.

Meet Our HIV/STD Case Manager Team

If you have HIV or AIDS, staying healthy may depend on putting together many different services – medical care, health insurance, housing, drug/alcohol treatment, HIV/STD education, emotional support, and many others, depending on your needs. Whether you just found out you have HIV or if you’ve had it for a long time, an HIV case manager can help you understand your options and connect you with the services and supports you need.

Meet Our Hepatitis C Team

If you suspect being Hepatitis C positive and/or you have recently been diagnosed with Hepatitis C, the Wake County Health & Human Service– Hepatitis C Program is here to help. The Hepatitis C Program is designed to provide a range of services that meet the unique needs of the population served. These community-based services include:

  • Hepatitis C confirmatory testing,
  • Hepatitis C education & harm reduction strategies,
  • Linkage to medical care for Hepatitis C treatment,
  • Enrollment in eligible community resources and other resources.
