Housing/Homelessness Plans

Local leaders understand that it takes time and effort to tackle issues as complex as homelessness and the need for affordable housing. Long-term plans are in place for both, which allows for a more strategic, comprehensive and effective approach to addressing the low-income housing and community development needs in Wake County, as well as the needs of our homeless population.

The 10-Year Action Plan for Ending Homelessness is a partnership effort of Wake County Government, the City of Raleigh, Wake Continuum of Care and Triangle United Way.

The 2005-2010 Consolidated Plan is a five-year plan to address the low-income housing and community development needs in Wake County. It includes a housing and homeless needs assessment and market analysis, a strategic plan, and a one-year Action Plan.
