Draft 2009 Action Plan

The draft 2009 Action Plan describes the activities to be carried out during fiscal year 2009 (July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010) within Wake County, outside Raleigh and Holly Springs. The Action Plan will address the needs of priority populations, as outlined in the 2005-2010 Consolidated Plan. CDBG funds will be used for:

• Public facilities improvements in Apex and Garner
• Scattered site housing rehabilitation
• Acquisition of land for affordable housing development
• Foreclosure prevention
• An analysis of impediments to Fair Housing choice.

HOME funds will be used for assistance for homeownership through the American Dream Downpayment Initiative and for the development of affordable housing.
