The 2007 Action Plan describes the activities to be carried out during fiscal year 2007 (July 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008) within Wake County, outside Raleigh, Cary and Holly Springs. The Action Plan will address the needs of priority populations, as outlined in the 2005-2010 Consolidated Plan. CDBG funds will be used for:

• Public facilities improvements in Apex, Morrisville, Wendell and Zebulon
• Scattered site housing rehabilitation
• Acquisition of land for affordable housing development
• A housing affordability study of Wake County.

HOME funds will be used for assistance for homeownership through the American Dream Downpayment Initiative and for the development of affordable housing.
