HIV/STD Volunteer Opportunities
Gatekeepers:
HIV/STD Program Gatekeepers are members of the community who facilitate the connection of our program staff with individuals and groups within their communities. Gatekeepers also improve their friends’ and neighbors’ access to prevention information and testing/treatment services by providing basic information about relevant local services. A free orientation (in English or Spanish) is provided by HIV/STD Program staff and all Gatekeepers, if willing, may receive a supply of condoms and educational materials for distribution.
