Health Clinics

Wake County's public health clinics offer health care for children and adults, ranging from education to immunizations to treatment. (Wake County is proud to have achieved the highest immunization rate of metropolitan counties in North Carolina.)

The clinics respond rapidly to potential public health threats, such as tuberculosis, hepatitis and AIDS. Recently, the clinics have been called upon to plan for and prepare for any possible bioterrorism threats, such as distributing potassium iodide pills to persons living near nuclear power plants, learning how to administer smallpox vaccine, and responding to possible anthrax threats.

Wake County's main public health clinics are located in the Human Services building at 10 Sunnybrook Road, at the intersection of New Bern Avenue and Sunnybrook Road (near WakeMed). For clinic information, call 919-212-7000.
