The 2011 Teen Talk Lock-In was a tremendous success!

The 8th Annual free event for high school youth ages 14–17 was held December 2–3, 2011, in the Carmichael Gym on North Carolina State’s campus.


More than 100 youth from all over Wake County attended the overnight forum of fun and exciting activities for high school youth. The event explored the many challenges youth face in the search for healthy relationships. The Lock-In also featured entertainment, a talent show and dancing. Free food and drink was served throughout the night!

Wake County 4-H Youth Development, in collaboration with community-based organizations including the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education; Alliance of AIDS Services – Carolina; Central Carolina Graduate Chapter of Swing Phi Swing, Inc.; NC State University; Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. (Raleigh); Wake County Gang Prevention Partnership; and the Wake County Human Services HIV/STD Community Program
