Work First Program

ePass: Find out if you may be eligible for NC benefits and services. North Carolina's Work First Program is built upon the premise that all people have a responsibility to their families and community to work and provide for themselves and their children.

Work First provides families with temporary assistance while providing them with supportive services such as day care, transportation, cash assistance, training opportunities and Medicaid during their time of need.

Visit the US Department of Health and Human Services website to learn more about TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), which is the federal program that governs North Carolina's Work First program.
