Crystal Farrow is Wake County Human Services’ Deputy Director of Administration and Chief of Staff.  She has served in this capacity since 2016.

She has 30 years of experience leading and managing public behavioral health and social service programs, including several years with North Carolina state government and more than 25 years with Wake County.

Farrow is passionate about improving consumers’ experiences by working with partners to make service delivery systems more effective and efficient. She led the effort to establish North Carolina’s first Crisis Intervention Team program in Wake County in 2005 by working with local law enforcement agencies, advocates and providers. She also represented Wake County Human Services throughout design and opening operations at the WakeBrook Campus for behavioral health crisis care.

Farrow holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.

In her role as Deputy Director and Chief of Staff, Farrow oversees teams responsible for Internal Communications, Consumer Experience Management and Business Analytics and Project Management.  She and her employees are responsible for working across all other divisions of Human Services to enhance customer service, improve business processes and create opportunities for meaningful integration of services that benefit consumers.
