Mental Health
Wake County Human Services offers a unique team approach, with psychiatrists, clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, substance abuse counselors and case managers. Mental health and substance abuse services are integrated. Twenty-four-hour emergency and crisis intervention services are available. Many services are provided both in the office and on an outreach basis. Treatment is individualized, and collaboration (assuming client permission) with family members, medical providers, and others is essential.
