It’s time to get covered!

If you – or someone you know – needs health insurance, now’s your chance to sign up for coverage through the health care marketplace.

Open Enrollment only happens once each year. This year’s Open Enrollment runs from Nov. 1, 2016 through Jan. 31, 2017.

If you have questions about signing up for health insurance or want to talk through your options with a trained professional, FREE and confidential help is available from health insurance navigators on-site at Wake County Human Services locations:

You can also make an appointment with a health insurance navigator by calling 855-733-3711 or by using the GetCovered Connector at the right of this page.
There are a lot of choices when it comes to health care – the navigators are available to help you understand your options and make sure you feel confident that you’ve picked the right plan.
Did you know?
  • Financial assistance is available to help pay for health care insurance premiums. In fact, 9 out of 10 North Carolinians who enrolled in marketplace insurance plans during the last open enrollment period are receiving financial assistance to help pay for their health coverage.
  • You may be fined for not having insurance. If you can afford health insurance, but choose not to buy it, you could face a fine of $695 or 2.5 percent of your income, whichever is greater.
Everyone is welcome! Anyone interested in enrolling through, or those who want to learn more about their health plan options, are encouraged to visit a Wake County Human Services location.
