During normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), you can make a CPS report in person by visiting the fourth floor of the Wake County Human Services building.

If you suspect that an adult is being abused, exploited, or no longer appears to be able to take care of him/herself, then please call the Adult Protective Services Line at 919-212-7264.

The Child Protection Report Line operates during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

An intake worker will talk with you and take your report.

​After hours and on weekends and holidays, please call 911 and tell the 911 operator that you would like to make a CPS report. The 911 operator will contact an after-hours social worker who will return your call.
