Think Green Wake County!

The Wake County Board of Commissioners identified updates and enhancements to the County’s Environmental Stewardship Agenda as one of three major goals. As a result, two new groups were formed to address sustainability initiatives:

	The Sustainability Task Force is an external group of community members and business representatives evaluating the County’s environmental initiatives, and developing recommendations and performance measures that are environmentally and financially sustainable. 	The Wake Sustainability Committee is an internal group of Wake County employees focused on identifying opportunities for “greener” initiatives that our departments can incorporate into their workplace and business practices. Wake County employees can access the Wake Employee Sustainability Committee website on the employee intranet portal.
