Bed and Breakfast Homes and Inns

Good sanitation in Bed and Breakfast facilities is important because of problems that might occur if sanitation standards are not met. Some examples include burns due to high water temperatures, bedbugs and spread of germs caused by not cleaning or sanitizing properly.

Bed and Breakfasts can be either Homes or Inns. A Bed and Breakfast Home is a private home offering bed and breakfast stays to 8 or fewer people per night for periods of less than a week. A Bed and Breakfast Inn has no more than 12 guest rooms and offers bed and breakfast stays to between 9-23 people per night for periods of less than a week.

Inspection frequency
Bed and Breakfasts are inspected once a year.
