During the 100-day campaign, Wake County EMS hopes to increase the availability of public access Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in our community and to register all public AEDs throughout our community. The 100 day campaign runs from May 14 through August 24, 2012.
Wake County has partnered with three local AED vendors to provide purchase incentives to businesses and groups participating in the campaign.

Learn CPR
Modern CPR methods often call for "Hands Only" CPR, meaning bystanders should focus solely on providing 100 uninterrupted chest compressions per minute. It is clearly established that bystander chest compressions without the effort to provide mouth to mouth can effectively sustain a person in cardiac arrest until professional help arrives.
