Counseling and Referral Service
Wake County provides an employee assistance program. The program provides in-house, short-term counseling to any employee and immediate family members. Any employee's use of the program is handled in a completely private and confidential manner.

Employee Discount Tickets
Employees are offered discount tickets to various family attractions at reduced rates upon availability. Examples include theme parks, sporting events and theater shows.

Caring, Serving and Respecting Customers Service Award
We think employees should be recognized for exemplary service on the job. The "Caring, Serving and Respecting Customers" service award is granted to employees who are nominated by a fellow employee, supervisor or citizen. Each recipient of the customer service award is recognized by the Board of Commissioners and receives a County lapel pin and a commemorative clock. In addition, the employee is featured in Insights, the County newsletter.

As a community service organization, the County supports a broad range of opportunities for individuals to volunteer their services. The County supports its communities and encourages volunteer participation.
