Solid Waste

Solid Waste Management is a division of the Environmental Services department.  It provides various services to generators from both the municipalities and the unincorporated areas of the County.  The Solid Waste Management Division provides services to its customers via three basic methods: 1) By contracting with private firms to provide the services directly to its customers; 2) By providing services directly to its customers without a contract to do so; 3) By contracting with its customers to provide services to them. 

The Solid Waste methodology is a continuum of strategic program analysis of how resources are used and maintained over time.  The County is the only public agency that provides disposal facilities for the solid waste generated within the County.  This includes maintenance, monitoring and closure activities.
