The Parks, Recreation and Open Space (PROS) department is a division of Community Services.  Its mission is to "acquire and maintain a system of natural areas, open spaces, park facilities, and historic sites that promote environmental and cultural stewardship as well as provide educational and leisure opportunities for all county citizens."
