The Wake County Public Library System (WCPL) provides services to children, promotes recreational reading, encourages lifelong learning, serves as a community center, and bridges the technology gap. The system is a highly visible and vital component of the community, operating seven regional libraries, 12 community libraries, and two specialty libraries across the county.

The performance measures below illustrate how well the system is meeting its core service areas: developing products that people love, operating facilities that are well thought out, and providing pleasant library experiences.
