Assistant County Manager Nicole Kreiser is responsible for providing oversight, management and high-level professional administration of the Wake Transit Plan. Kreiser serves on the Transit Planning Advisory Committee (TPAC) and is the TPAC Budget and Finance Co-Chair. She develops and coordinates program and policy alternatives, including coordination with other external agencies, and provides independent financial oversight of the tax district.

Kreiser was selected in July 2017, having served since 2010 as the County’s debt manager responsible for issuing new debt and for managing the County’s $2 billion outstanding debt portfolio. Kreiser’s prior roles at Wake County include lead budget analyst assigned to the public schools and community college operating budget as well as developing the County’s 7-year Capital Improvement Budget.

Kreiser has a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina State University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Women’s Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s LEAD program.
