One of the things that makes Wake County special is our high quality of life. Business leaders looking for a place to locate or expand their companies say it’s a significant factor in why they choose Wake County. Families, young people and seniors also cite our quality of life as a top reason for making Wake County their home.

We’re proud of our reputation as a great place to live, work, learn and play. We’re committed to maintaining it now and in the years to come.

As our community of more than 1 million continues to grow rapidly, we must plan for the impact our increasing population will have on the:
  • Wake County Public School System;
  • Wake Tech Community College; and
  • Parks, Greenways, Recreation and Open Space.
That’s why we brought before the voters three bond referenda on Nov. 6 – to make sure those investments are made at the lowest cost to the taxpayers. Voters approved each bond.
